#MergerMondays: Idaho Housing Collaboration

We have celebrated a lot of #mergerswithamission that have aimed to solve the affordable housing crisis around the country. Today we celebrate three Idaho nonprofits in coming together to build affordable homes in the northern Idaho region. 🏠

LEAP Housing of Boise, Kaniksu Land Trust and Bonner Community Housing Agency combined their unique missions and resources to tackle a groundbreaking project in November. LEAP developed a land trust model that serves as the base for the project. The Kaniksu Land Trust focuses on land, waterway and space conservation while the BCHA provides affordable housing in Bonner and Boundary Counties.

Together, they’re building a workforce housing development for local families and demonstrating “sustainable development through strong partnerships with local organizations,” says CEO of LEAP housing, Bart Cochran.
