Yes, mergers can be complicated. 📕 But I agree with Gary - they are also exciting and worthwhile. Especially for membership organizations who can expand their offerings to members and bring more people together. Kudos!
We often think of mergers as between two organizations, but this is a great reminder that any number of organizations can join forces. There are some efficiencies to merging this way - multiple organizations at the same time - but each organization is also unique. With it’s own culture and values. So they should be treated with the same diligence and care as a merger between two organizations.
